Every transaction that takes place in Bitexen is between a Market Maker and a Market Taker. For this reason, the orders are also called as Market Maker Order or Market Taker Order. When you place an order (buy or sell), it is checked whether the order is met by the existing orders by the system.
If the order can be met immediately with another order, you assume the role of a Market Taker because you are buying a share of an existing order. If the order you entered is not met by any order, your order will be placed on the pending orders list, your order will remain pending until another order fulfills your order and you will assume the role of Market Maker.
The Market Maker (Maker), in case the entered order does not match any order in terms of price, the order becomes a Market Maker Order. These orders are called Market Maker because they create the depth in the market, that is, the order price to facilitate trading.
Market Taker is the role taken when the entered order matches another order in terms of price. All orders placed in the Market Order type are processed with the role of Market Buyer. In a limit order, the placed order is traded as a Market Buyer if it matches a price in the order book.
